Where Has All My Traffic Gone?

Where has all my traffic gone?
So few passing
Where has all my traffic gone?
None dropping by
Where has all my traffic gone?
Gone elsewhere every one
When will I ever learn?
When will I ever learn?

Why has all my traffic gone?
Empty hours ev'rywhere
Why has all my traffic gone?
None dropping by
Why has all my traffic gone?
To better blogs every one
When will I ever learn?
When will I ever learn?

With apologies to Pete Seeger

On holidays.

What, no google searches to keep you company? What would I do without them? Even if they don't comment or even look at the results of the search very closely it must mean my blog has some value, doesn't it?

You're singing to us again, Calum! ;-)

oestrebunny Thanks so much!! You got it in one!!

Google sometimes messes about with the searches and that causes dips in traffic.

I'm sorry, I've been all wrapped up in holiday preparations. Did I mention I was going on holiday? In about 3 hours? It doesn't mean I don't love you!

Yours and mine both, Calum. It seems to be a down time for the sphere just now.

Reading you on the Bloghounds aggregator, Callum. And I read recently that internet conversation is trending to Facebook and the like.

Ha ha Calum. Good one! I know what you mean. The number of visitors coming to the Poor Mouth has halved over the last six months.

Dear me, Facebook? That's quality debate then.

I haven't had the urge to sign up to face book, it all sounds a bit silly to me!

I have two more versions of the "song" just in case stats or I get worse.

Do not ask cos no way will I reveal them. One or other or both will only come out if one or other(or both) of the criteria above is met.

Why tell you then?

Because I am a sad bastard!

Great parody but it's not to do with "better blogs" - more to do with the end of summer, I think.
