Blog Open For Comments

After a couple of days of the blog being closed to ALL comments I am pleased to be able to open up the blog again.

I continue to ponder the blog's future (see previous post) but now I can do so without needing to have the comments facility closed.

Thanks for bearing with me.

  1. you have to do whats right for you calum and bugger everyone else....

  2. From your previous post:

"Doing a post for the sake of doing a post, to me, is pointless. "

You don't have to keep posting every day no matter what, and you don't have to end the blog just because you feel you have nothing to say right now.

I've taken a few blogging holidays myself over the years, and they can do you the world of good, I've found.

Best of luck to you, whatever your decision.

  3. Both Sally and Tim have good advice there. I can't really add to it.

Except to say I hope you are OK!

  4. Sally, Tim, CP and Shades

Thanks for your comments and advice.

Firstly,I'm fine. Nothing new. Just finding posting difficult. I keep putting off writing "good " post because of the effort. I keep putting off lots of jobs - down to depression.

I've been so close to shutting down te blog in the past and not done so that I think it very very unlikely that I'll sucumb this time.

More likely is that I will continue in similar vein to now which is unsatisfactory. A blog holiday - I've had a few - I could probably do with but I don't think I'll do that either.

Therefore, current thinking is same as before BUT the thought process seems so shallow that I'll keep all options open for a while yet.

  5. Calum take a few weeks off blogging. Then see how you feel. That's my advice.

  6. Hello Calum

Have been depressed myself, so confused, not answering the telephone and so on, withdrawing, lack of energy, not doing anything, a friend of mine told me the other day deciding to fight is success itself, lost the will to even do that....:)

Do not end the blog, please! Best wishes.

  7. You don't have to write brilliant posts! Look at me.

Write if you want to. What you want to. It's your blog.

  8. As I am sure I have said to you before Calum, I have about half a dozen posts I am quite satisfied with in my output.

But then I don't have much of interest to say except to myself. That's the way I operate, it is a bit like an online diary of things that interest me and I hope that sometimes others are interested too.

We all have to find "our voice" and maybe you are still searching for yours.

No real advice from me, just checking in to see what is happening here.
