Here Endeth

CalumCarr on .... Whatever

None should be surprised.

In truth, this blog has been dying slowly for more than a year.  There have been mini-recoveries but the path continued downward.

Many have said kind and complimentary words about the blog but, welcome as these words are, and they are very welcome indeed - thank you, they do not pay life's bills.

Blogging is a luxury way beyond my meagre means and I must concentrate my depleted, and depleting, resources on the children and me.  This blog is only a shadow of my intentions but even the shadow is too heavy on, and disruptive of, key aspects of my life.  That is why I must divorce myself totally from the virtual world of blogging and use productively the time and strength released for my family rather than selfishly in writing and publishing to the ether.

None should be sad.

My decision is not born out of negativity or depression but of a determination to improve life for my family.

I leave my blog and blogging with no regrets.

Thank you and goodbye.

CalumCarr

Well at least this time it is without regret, I'm happy to hear.

We should always remember that our families come first and foremost and I wish you good luck with your goals for yours and my best wishes for you all.

Sorry you are going. Understand your need to, I think, having taken breaks from the online world myself in the past. Take care of you and yours.

Good luck.

I figure the stuff you posted on was worth highlighting. Practically a public service.

Maybe you will come back sometime when /if you can...

I don't know you too well but was touched by the NHS horror you and your wife endure.

Good luck.

How's it going at the moment?

James

Thanks for asking.

Many many problems continue to plague us and I'm unable to do nearly a much as I could and should. Guess it's situational depression. Many times I'm abs fine but others I ..... just run away.

Will come back to what seems to be a diminishing blogoshere when I can get my blog redesigned. Prob months for this.

Am gathering ideas and info for a few subjects each of which can run as a series.

Would be nice to be back by year's end. I'll let you know when I'm very close. Poss you can give me a little bit of publicity?

Again, thanks for checking up on me. I hope life is good for you ... although I have been confused about you and Uber and ..... Guess my onfusion will clear eventually.

Take care, James.

Hi Calum,
Was wondering how you were doing and thought I'd pop in and see if you were back yet....

....or maybe, I heard my name. :)

Hi Uber

Thanks for calling.

I still intend coming back but have lots going on at mo. Haven't thought about blog redesign. Could take several months yet and so very unlikely to be back by year's end.
