Sea Level?

Not here, at least.

SeaLevel1

Shown here are different sea levels with the incoming tide in the tidal race known as the Grey Dogs.  The Grey Dogs lie between the north of Scarba and south of Lunga.   When we visited the boat was doing 10 knots but wasn’t moving.

To the south of Scarba is the notorious whirlpool of Corryvreckan. Runs between Scarba and northern tip of Jura.

For those who may not know Scotland well here are two more Google maps showing Scarba with the orange flag.

  1. So you're not at sea level? I estimate I'm about 30 feet above it.
