Having been found guilty last July in a Dutch court, Trafigura again finds itself involved in more proceedings.
In September 2009, Greenfeace filed a complaint about the failure to prosecute Trafigura for “serious environmental pollution” in the Ivory Coast.
There the matter remained until 2 weeks ago when the court summoned Trafigura to respond to Greenpeace’s complaint.
The court’s next hearing is on 24 November.
