Unchanging Father

Each new year is marked by desires to change, to live life differently.

Eat less, train more
Drink less, sleep more
More and less of …. whatever
This year will be different
But it won’t
More of the same
This new year
And next new year
Life unchanging
Despair!

But life doesn’t have to be like that.

Life can be like this,

Our Lord Jesus Christ said:
The first commandment is this:
"Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is the only Lord.
You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your mind
and with all Your strength."
The second is this:
"Love your neighbour as yourself."
There is no other commandment greater than these.
Amen. Lord, have mercy.

Gloria

Glory to God in the highest,
and peace to his people on earth.
Lord God, heavenly King,
almighty God and Father,
(with God the Son, Jesus Christ,
and God the Holy Spirit,)
we worship you, we give you thanks,
we praise you for your glory.
Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father,
Lord God, Lamb of God,
you take away the sin of the world;
have mercy on us;
you are seated at the right hand of the Father:
receive our prayer.
For you alone are the Holy One,
you alone are the Lord,
you alone are the Most High,
Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit,
in the glory of God the Father.

Amen.

He is Lord

[Hillsong]

Our Father is unchanging.
We have His unchanging and perfect Word
We need never look
For always He is with us

His son died for us
His son died for me
His son died for you

Oh blessed lamb once slain
Will reign forever more
His hands once bound now save
Our God will never fail

'Tis at the cross of Christ
Where earth and heaven meet
Where sin is overcome
To God the victory

He is Lord
He is Lord
Sings my soul
He is Lord
And He lives
Yes He lives
I'm alive 'cause Jesus lives

And now
Let the earth resound with praise
For our Saviour God He reigns
He is high and lifted up
Arise
For the King of glory waits
He is coming back again

May we always hold You above all.

Father, we pray this in the name of Your son, Jesus Christ Our Lord.
